Meet the Founders for Clinicians

From insight to real-world connection

Meet Miri Arie, PhD, CGP, and Nina Helms, MA, LMHC, co-founders of Connected PNW, for a conversation about supporting adults who struggle with dating and building friendships.

Connected PNW Meet the Founders for Clinicians, November 6, 2026, 10–11 am Pacific, online via Zoom.

Many clients develop a thoughtful understanding of their relationship patterns yet still find it difficult to initiate a conversation, express interest, extend an invitation, or follow up after meeting someone. Insight can create a foundation for change; putting new ways of relating into practice is another part of the work.

In this clinician-focused conversation, we’ll explore how to support the move from understanding to action through direct skills development and structured opportunities to practice. We’ll discuss manageable interpersonal risks, navigating uncertainty, communicating authentically, respecting boundaries, and helping new skills carry over into everyday dating and friendship experiences.

You’ll also learn how Connected builds practice into its non-clinical relationship-skills program. Participants are paired with peers, so they do not have to find their own practice partners. Guided workshops, community-based practice, feedback, and coaching create opportunities to try new skills in real-life settings and support generalization beyond the office.

Meet the founders, bring your questions, and consider how this kind of structured practice may complement your clinical work and when Connected may be a useful referral option.
